Your Guest's Personal Bio
For the past 25+ years, David has worked in multiple capacities across most all fields within cleaning and restoration. From carpet and upholstery cleaning, to water, mold, trauma, storm, and other remediation practices, he has worked as a technician up to estimating and invoicing to operations officer over a large restoration company. To date, David has processed or consulted on thousands of property damage claims. David has also served in various capacities as a volunteer for the IICRC, including: past Chair of the Exams & Education Committee and 1st VP for the Board of Directors. Outside of the cleaning and restoration industry, David was a Firefighter/EMT-Advanced for 9 years. He received his Bachelors of Science in Emergency Management and Public Safety from Grand Canyon University. In early 2019, he became an OSHA authorized Outreach Trainer for the OSHA 10 & 30 Hr. General Industry courses. Among his certifications received in the restoration industry, he also received certifications, education, or licensing as: • State of Tennessee Fire Fighter Instructor Level 1 • State of Tennessee Advanced Emergency Medical Technician • Tennessee Emergency Management Agency Hazardous Materials Technician • National Incident Management System (ICS) • Radiological Monitoring • Operational Rope Rescue • Trench Rescue from the University of Tennessee • Many other state and first responder certifications
